Out of my loneliness I have come.
Out of my loneliness and the illusion of self,
having to prove my validity or a heart to defend,
I have come to the well in the center of the village.
The family of all to which I belong.
I have come to be with you
to hear your song and to sing my own.
We are learning to listen as
the mystery speaks
through each one of us.
At this new dawn, we recreate the garden.
We are learning to forgive the past.
We have realized that we cannot do it alone
And, there is no one in charge.
My voice like yours is small.
Humbly and sincerely, I bring my
tender heart, my aging body and
my joyous spirit into the circle.
My reward is your smile
and the knowing that you are
my sister and my brother,
my source of wisdom and delight.
We see each other and we care.
Our human family is returning to its roots
and evolving into a wholeness
we have never known.
Praise be to the smallest one of us.
