Going Within.
Going within I found
A soft, peaceful, golden radiance
Permeating everything –
Each molecule a particle of sunlight –
Everywhere the same density,
The same softness.
God’s Comforter, I smile. But no,
It is not something I am in.
Nothing which is not That.
Inside of That, nevertheless,
Our little individual entities
Thrash about, seeking, forever seeking,
Sometimes finding, mostly losing.
Truly we are like fish
In the great Ocean of Life
Gasping for water.
After all these confusing millennia
Of our consciousness groping for light
And slowly waking,
I see the Sun shimmering on the horizon
We start to walk – together –
Eyes open,
Hands empty,
Hearts singing.
